Laura is an Asian American writer and filmmaker whose work moves between thriller, horror, and drama, grounded in psychological tension and the human condition.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Media Production from Emerson College, with a concentration in screenwriting and media marketing. Her background in digital marketing and social media, through work with Fidelitas Development, Splicer Films, and independent clients, continues to inform her approach to audience, structure, and tone.
Her work is drawn to characters who feel slightly out of place, and she builds environments that are both poetic and unsettling. Her directorial debut, Vulpes, received multiple screenwriting awards, including the Emerson College Marcia Robbins Wilf Women in Film Award.
While primarily focused on narrative storytelling, she is currently developing her first documentary, Sandcastles.
